Ippi is a muti-instrumentalist versatile Jazz and Blues vocalist, songwriter and composer who blends her roots of Hindustani Classical and Bollywood with contemporary songwriting.
Currently based out of Dallas she graduated from the prestigious University of North Texas in Jazz Studies where she was awarded the Paris Rutherford Jazz leadership award and the College of Music Merit scholarship. She is currently an active member of the DFW music scene. She hosts an annual International Blues night celebration at Steve's Wine Bar in Denton and leads the "Dallas Bollywood Project," a popular bollywood band in DFW.
After successfully building her music and fan base in India, she seeks to take it to a global audience. Ippi is currently working on her bilingual studio album featuring 6 original tracks. She has previously collaborated with with New York based arranger and saxophonist Keith Daniels and Dallas based producer 3rd State on several projects.
Her song Kitaaben (3rd state) remix was successfully streamed across 37 countries.
She has performed over 200 live performances and toured more than 10 cities across the world
Ippi also has her private studio, where she teaches Vocal Technique, piano, guitar and songwriting. Many of her past students have gone on to becoming successful music artists in India.
